About

Larry Korn and assistant

I am a trial lawyer. I practice law throughout the metropolitan Atlanta area in state and federal court, as well as the United States Supreme Court.

My firm specializes in fighting for and achieving our clients goals.  Our clients receive total accessibility, 24/7.  As my client, you have my personal cell phone number and I will be available to you when you need me.

Getting your life back is going to often take time. With government nothing moves fast. You need someone who doesn’t just know the law, as every law school graduate does, but someone who knows the system over twenty-four years and has tremendous insight into how the system works.  Its not simply a matter of knowing the statutes, it takes experience to recognize and attack the weaknesses often present in prosecuting a case. In light of this, my commitment is to vigorously defend and protect your rights.

"I strongly believe that this much at least is required  to completely and successfully represent you in this matter."

You have a difficult decision ahead of you.  I urge you to consider all your options in choosing an attorney carefully.  And remember, while no attorney can guarantee or promise a specific result, I can promise the full efforts of this firm to help you achieve the goals we set out together for a successful resolution of your case.

ABOUT LAWRENCE KORN

Larry moved to Marietta, Georgia from Tallahassee, Florida with his wife Kim, and children Garrett and Maggie in 1998.

He opened his private law practice in the downtown area of Marietta, focusing on trial practice in State, Superior and Juvenile trial courts, as well as Appeals before the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Georgia Supreme Court, and federal courts.

His successful experience in Fulton County's Public Defender's Office led to his developing extensive and highly regarded work in criminal defense.

His aggressive and tenacious representation of indigent defendants charged with felonies in Fulton Superior Court from arraignment to disposition including any and all motions, trials, and appeals before the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Georgia Supreme Court created a high level of professional respect across his peers.

Prior to that Larry was Chief of Misdemeanor Division for Leon County, Florida. There he supervised, instructed and was responsible for all misdemeanor and domestic violence attorneys. During that time Larry was also able to flawlessly handle a full caseload (in excess of 100 open cases) of misdemeanors, domestic violence cases, and passing worthless bank check cases.

As a Felony Division Attorney, Larry represented individuals charged with serious offenses in Circuit Court through trial.  During this time he represented two clients charged with capital crimes for which the death penalty was sought by the State of Florida.

In the earlier years of his legal experience, Larry worked representing individuals charged with driving under the influence and other traffic related charges. As Misdemeanor Division Attorney he successfully represented individuals charged with misdemeanors and crimes involving domestic violence.

Larry's most compelling stories come from his work as an Appellate Division Attorney. He was challenged daily as he represented individuals on appeal from convictions for serious crimes. It was his research and subsequent briefs in the Florida First District Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Florida, and his oral arguments before the Supreme Court of Florida that honed his skills and awakened his natural talent for the law.

His earliest legal work was as a  Juvenile Division Attorney. Here he focused on representing minors charged with committing delinquent acts or with violating the terms of their community control before the Juvenile Court of Leon County Florida.

As a sign of the successful career ahead, Larry began his career as Law Clerk to Justice Gerald Kogan of the Supreme Court of Florida. Inspired and mentored by the renowned Justice Kogan, Larry was privy to the inner workings of the law at its highest level. He was recognized for his tenacious ability to research complex legal issues, develop briefing issues for the Court and for helping to draft opinions for aproval by Justice Kogan and the Supreme Court of Florida.
